I think the functions are the same other than the 1001 is non-atomic and non-solar. The GS-1001 can show the day name of the week (user manual module 4799): Press A-button and the second hand in the 6 o'clock sub-window moves to point to the name of the day of the week and the main-dial/stopwatch second hand moves to point to the currently specified home city name. After about 3 seconds both of these hands move back to original positions before having pressed the A-button. I like that the GS-1001 can display the name of the week. I also like that the GS-1001 can show two time zones at once, and that the main dial is used exclusively to show the current time. I had been tossing between GS-1000 and GS-1100 due to different combo of features and display, but now that I live in Hawaii (Maui), where I understand the reception of atomic sync for Wave Ceptor is suspect, the GS-1001 seems a fitting compromise.with added benefits. Just wish it were solar. I like the color offerings of the GS-1001, as well-- the white face GS-1001-7ADR looks nice to me. I forgot about the day indicator on the 1001s. It's one of the only features of the 1100 I like over the 1000 but can deal with it. If the main hands on the 1001 are used all the time for local time it's surely a better option than the 1100 if you are not in range for the atomic signal. Gmail settings for apple mail. This reference library contains over 1,500 Casio watch manuals. You need to look up the module number of your watch to find the right one. It should be engraved on the case back. Find that number in the list below to view the owner's guide and instructions for that watch. It is kind of unfortunate that the GS-1001 day of week name feature can not be 'locked on'. Best video type for mac. But, it is nice to have the option. Still kind of wish the GS-1001 were solar. I've been burned by a bad G-5600 solar, but my G-7000 solar is awesome! Cost of microsoft publisher for mac. I don't know if the GS-1000 solar is suspect to failure, but I do like the idea of solar-- but, my big question is: - if I were to use a GS-1000 solar/wave ceptor, would it not roll the date properly for month transitions ending in 30 days? I need to re-read the other threads on this forum discussing the 'perpetual calendar'. If the GS-1000 must sync to atomic time to get month-to-month and leap years correct, then, here in Hawaii, I'd best go for the GS-1001! ![]() ![]() Navigate • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •.
